By nature organic foods are non-processed, this was the challenge when creating a package for an organic food to be mindful of the packaging materials and be appropriate to the product with the materials chosen. The best way to solve this while still making the package appropriate for my organic product, Oats, was pretty simple. Use Burlap. Not only does burlap exude packaged on-site but by sealing it with a tag and stapling it shut, it’s almost as if a small team of people could do it. The type chosen was inspired by old feed mills from Alberta and Saskatchewan. The illustration in the middle was to show what was inside without adding a window.
